A weekend well spent !
Had been to Vayu at NJJBTB this saturday. They dished out some excellent Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Floyd stuff –
- ted the mechanic
- hush
- black dog
- break on though
- smoke on the water
- comfortably numb
were among the very few which also included some of Vayu’s originals.
Had been to Maalamaal weekly yesterday. Well, if you have already watched, hungama, I can surely say therez no need to watch this kids’ comedy. This movie promises the copyright, patented, very predictable priyadarshan comedy, where, there are cheap bits of laugh-scenes splattered all over the movie, and then a rat race for money in the end. Please Mr. Priyadarshan, no more malamaals, hungamas and hulchuls now. Shallu and Mangal’s company was the only saving grace J.
The move lasted 3-6. We had to kill the time 6-9. After a very rejuvenating FabIndia tulsi tea by Mangal, we started to think of ways to kill the evening. The obvious option which my material minded mind could think was shopping at a mall, check out new clothes-collection, newest gizmos, sales etc J But Mangal wouldn’t join if we weren’t going to Taljai. Shallu was fine with whatever. So, finally, Taljai it was !!! We roped in RJ too who has just become a bachelor after Preeti left for lucknow.
Then came one of the best spent times off late, up on taljai, we sat among a late-ramukaka, a late-heer-ranjha, in front of an abandoned ghostly house, with the lamp dimming at its will, adding more eerie to the environment. There we sat, talking abt companies, ppl, room mates, apples, and what not.
This concluded with a nice dinner at Nandini. A nice way to spend the week end I must say !
